چکیده

Recently, a modified gravity theory in four dimensions, known as Starobinsky-Bel-Robinson gravity, has been proposed. The theory is obtained by joining the Starobinsky model of inflation with the compactification of M theory down to four dimensions. A natural question to ask is whether it is possible to make predictions within this theory. In this talk I will focus on black holes and I will discuss how the thermodynamics properties (temperature, pressure, entropy) and lifetime of Schwarzschild black holes get modified in the new theory.
